4. Google Classroom Data Usage

BeforeNineai integrates with Google Classroom to help families manage school assignments. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What we access

We request the following Google API scopes:

• Google Classroom courses (read-only) — to list and display your enrolled courses
• Google Classroom coursework (read-only) — to import assignments, due dates, and materials
• Google user profile (email) — to identify and associate your Google account

How we use Google Classroom data

• Importing assignments into your child's daily study schedule
• Displaying due dates and assignment details to parents and children
• Using AI to extract actionable tasks from assignment descriptions to help with study planning
• Sending reminders and notifications about upcoming assignments

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell, share, or transfer your Google Classroom data to any third parties
• We do not use Google Classroom data for advertising or marketing purposes
• We do not modify, submit, or delete any data in your Google Classroom account
• We do not store your Google account password — authentication is handled entirely by Google's OAuth 2.0 system

Data storage and retention

Google Classroom data (assignments, course information) is stored securely in our database and associated with your family account. OAuth tokens are encrypted and stored securely. You can disconnect your Google Classroom account at any time from the dashboard, which revokes our access and removes stored tokens. Previously imported assignment data remains in your account unless you request its deletion.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). OAuth tokens and sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest.

6. Children's Privacy

Our service is designed for families with children. We collect children's information only with parental consent and use it solely for providing our educational tracking services. Parents maintain full control over their children's accounts and data, including the ability to view, modify, or delete any information.

7. Data Deletion and Account Removal

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, we will remove all personal information, study data, and any stored Google Classroom tokens and imported data.
